The Patagonia Volunteer Fire Department,"Engine Co. #2", is located in the City of
Hermitage, Mercer County, Pennsylvania. Our fire department protects the citizens of
Hermitage, a mixed suburban and rural region of north western Pennsylvania with a
population of 18,000.   Station 86 is located 119 Superior Street on the west side of the City
in the district known as Patagonia.  This station currently operates 2 first class engines, 1
brush unit, 1 rescue boat and houses one antique multi use vehicle.

Station 86 is a 100% volunteer organization which in conjunction with our sister station,
Station 93 responds to approximately 300 to 500 calls annually.  Our membership consists
of Active, Social and Ladies Auxillary.  At current we have 20 active volunteer fire
personnel.  80% of our active members are at least Pa. State Certified Fire Fighter 1.  While
not running medical calls,  station 86 has 5 EMT-B's and 1 EMT- Paramedic on our roster.
